Here is the text of the job advertisement for which I applied.

Asst Prof of English: Computers & Writing

Western Illinois University, a regional state-supported comprehensive university in west-central Illinois, invites applications for the following tenure-track position in Writing to begin August 2003. (Pending budgetary funding).

Required: Ph.D., evidence of successful college teaching experience, of commitment to teaching excellence, and of scholarly accomplishment or strong potential. Expertise in computers and writing with demonstrated experience and interest in classroom applications of technology; ability to teach web rhetoric and design essential. Preferred additional areas include: writing pedagogy, writing theory, and technical and/or professional writing.
